Lougher Moor is only a few minutes away from the Historic village of Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan. Llantwit's history can be traced back to AD500 and it is widely regarded to be the birthplace of Christianity in Wales. The church is thought to go all the way back to Norman times. The village is an idyllic setting for long exploratory walks in total tranquillity.
A short distance away is the Heritage Restaurant at the West House Hotel - widely regarded as one of the very best restaurants in Wales and the West Country. The newer part of the town is home to a small shopping centre with a supermarket and an array of quaint shops and warm, friendly pubs.
You will find Lougher Moor a peaceful place to stay. It's a safe place for families and children. We have a swimming pool, a couple of patio areas (ideal for barbecues), a few large ponds and a marshy lake!
The whole area is rich with wildlife and is a great place for children to explore. Many of our guests have said that they have never seen their children more happy!
The town of Cowbridge is ten minutes away. It has lots of designer and craft shops and is a popular shopping centre.
